Who is eligible to complete this qualification through RPL?
A student most suited to achieve RPL would have prior experience in having project managed, construction managed, supervised and / or worked on open building projects from concept through to completion.
In order to achieve competency via RPL, a student is required to demonstrate they have acquired the relevant skills and knowledge within the criteria set out in each unit of competency within the qualification.
This is achieved through our comprehensive yet streamlined RPL Assessment process where your experience, skills, proficiencies and knowledge are captured through competency based conversations with your trainer & assessor. Competency is further substantiated through the supply of suggested student evidence, third party reference verifications and a self-evaluation.
Examples of skills and knowledge necessary to possess, and roles and responsibilities that are required to have been fulfilled, in order to achieve RPL
PART 1: Throughout your employment and work history, you must have completed, learnt, coordinated, developed, implemented, managed and contributed to various organisational processes, evaluation practices, reporting and compliance assessments.
PART 2: You would have held or currently hold, managerial responsibilities, workplace health and safety accountabilities, and conduct tasks relevant to contract compliance and the assessment of construction faults across a number of projects over a period of time.
Some examples include:
Developing organisational policies, procedure and processes in environmental management, workplace health and safety and subcontractor compliance.
Possess the skills and knowledge to interpret, amend, and / or apply legal and contractual requirements to active and future projects in Type A construction.
Possess a comprehensive understanding of the NCC and Australian Standards, and with this knowledge have the ability to identify non-compliance in plans and specifications, construction works, material selection and use.
Possess and evidence professional writing by evidencing previously issued email communications to stakeholders and external professionals, distributing continuous improvement feedback to colleagues, mitigating or participating in dispute resolution (emails, meeting notes or minutes), and WHS site assessment reporting.
